A few weeks ago, my two best friends and I escaped to Tulum, Mexico for some much-needed relaxation and beach time. We booked the flights this past winter, and there was nothing more effective than the anticipation of those turquoise waters to get us through the brutal cold here in New York. It was everything we were imagining and more, what with all of the brilliant colors everywhere. The slower pace, incredible food, and both the jungle and ocean within our reach.
